The million promised to Jefferson County after the introduction of table games at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races could be in jeopardy because of a misinterpretation of the legislation that set up the funding.

Social studies teacher develops board games
WAYNESBORO, Pa. John Poniske considers his hobby to be not just fun and games, but a teaching tool. Poniske started creating his own board games 12 years ago and filled them with strategy and history. Three Hearts and Minds, Leaping Lemmings and King Philips War have now been published.

Bulletin Board
Going Gold Volleyball Club, in affiliation with Force Volleyball Club, will be holding tryouts for the 2010 boys club season. Tryouts will be held on Sunday, Aug. 29 at Consumnes Oaks High School, time TBA. GGVB will be led by 2008 Olympic gold medallist, Gabe Gardner.
