Patented in America in 1975, the somewhat swirled pieces of this puzzle by Eldon Vaughn must be disjointed and then put back together. I once found a smaller version of this puzzle about twenty years ago in America, but considered it impossible to solve at the time. We have made a new version maintaining the difficulty of the original and licensed it for the cast Cast Puzzle series. This is without a doubt among the most difficult of all puzzles. The key word is ‘Twist’. Don’t use too much force…the pieces should just slide apart

This puzzle is amazing! It took me 4 hours to solve, and for the first hour, I couldn’t even *IMAGINE* how the thing came apart! You’ll want to solve it more than once, as you will likely forget some of the steps in the long sequence of moves required for total disassembly. Of course, that assumes you’ve completed the challenge of putting the thing back together after you first solve it =). Leave Enigma on your desk and wait for someone to ask, “Hey, what’s this?” and you’re in for some fun. All in all, a very good mind bending contraption.

This is an excellent puzzle. It seems impossible when you look at these seemingly interlocked iron rings, but that’s what makes it great. If you work at it enough, and use your eyes and good mind, you will get it. Even after getting it, it’s still amazing when you look at it and consider its craftsmanship and that it even works at all.
