The World’s Largest Jigsaw Puzzle?
How many pieces do you think the largest jigsaw puzzle in the world has? 15,000 pieces, 30,000 pieces?
Try 1,141,800 pieces. This could be the record for the largest jigsaw puzzle in the world. It was assembled by 15,000 puzzler fans in Ravensburg, Germany on Sept 28th 2208. This was the third annual German puzzle day. When the puzzle was completed it measured 65 feet by 98 feet, and took 5 hours to make.
This event was coordinated by the puzzle maker Ravensburger AG as a celebration of its 125th anniversary. The jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts assembled 4.000 smaller jigsaw puzzles each 252 pieces in size. These puzzles were then taken to the town square and joined together as on single puzzle. The completed puzzle was almost 6,500 square feet and practically cover the town square.
